Mr Snuffleupagus, the star of Sesame Street, has announced he is releasing a new single.
The single will be a cover of the LFMAO song “Party Rock Anthem”, but Mr Snuffleupagus’ single will be called Everyday I’m Snuffling.
Mr Snuffleupagus, whose first name is Aloysius, told Broken News he was excited to be releasing his own song.
“Seseame Street can be quite one-dimensional,” he says. “A music career offers an extension of my personality, and my skills, and also means I might get to meet Rihanna.”
“I’ve been in showbusiness since 1971,” he told Broken News. “But in that time, I have always lived in Big Bird’s shadow. This is my time for me to make my mark.”
It isn’t the first time that Snuffleupagus has tried to launch his music career, however. His first single Junk in the Trunk, was released on LP in 1987, to a dismal response.
This time, though, he says things will be different.
“It will be available for download on iTunes from next week on a special edition of Sesame Street, I will be teaching Elmo the dance moves for the song,” said a clearly excited Snuffleupagus.
Pop group LMFAO were unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
