Scooby Doo and his loyal team have descended on Parliament House to solve the mystery of a senator who was hidden underneath a burqa in the senate this afternoon.

There was a security scare during question time when an unknown person entered the chamber wearing a mysterious dark garment, which appeared to be an item of Islamic-style clothing, which is popular in some countries, but extremely rare in Australia.

It was unclear who was the mystery imposter wearing a burqa

Rather than contact ASIO or the Australian Federal Police, parliamentary security immediately contacted Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy to head, with Scooby in the Mystery Machine.

“We wanted the right people for the job,” a spokesperson told Broken News.

Scooby and the team got into the Mystery Machine and headed to parliament immediately.

Fortunately the group were already in Canberra trying to solve the mystery of Barnaby Joyce’s citizenship and were able to get to the Senate chamber quickly.

Almost immediately upon entering the chamber, the person wearing the garment must have realised the jig was up, and reluctantly revealed herself to the crowd.

There were gasps as it was realised that it was Pauline Hanson below the burqa.

“And I would have got away with it if it wasn’t for you pesky kids,” Ms Hanson said as she was led from the chamber.
